Most of our Diamond Creek work is family seating. Three seaters, recliners, corner suites, tub chairs and the odd dining setting. We take the cover off, look at the webbing, the springs and the frame, and rebuild the base before anything else happens. New Dunlop HR35 foam gets cut to the firmness that suits whoever sits there, a firm 200 density or a softer 165, and covers are made up in fabrics chosen to survive kids, dogs and daily use rather than to look good for a season.

A fair few Diamond Creek jobs come to us out of a garage rather than a lounge room. The suite gets shifted when a new one arrives, or when a family is between houses, and then it sits under a cover for a year while everyone means to get to it. Time on a concrete floor is not kind to foam, so whenever a piece has been stored we check the base and the padding properly before we quote, rather than putting good new fabric over padding that has had enough. If a suite of yours is waiting in the garage right now, it is worth a photo sooner rather than later. The frames are usually the part still worth building on.

Yes, it is one of our steadiest areas. We collect right through the 3089 postcode, from the shops on Main Hurstbridge Road and the streets around Chute Street to the larger blocks out towards Wattle Glen and Hurstbridge. It is a short run from the Eltham North workshop, so pick-up and return are easy to arrange around your week.
Often, yes, and it is the cheaper way round when the cover still has life in it. We lift the cover off, replace the webbing and the foam underneath, then refit the same fabric. It works best when the wear is under you rather than on the arms and headrests, because arms are where hands and sunlight do their damage. Send a photo of the whole suite and a close-up of the sunken seat and we will tell you honestly which way it should go.
