Nothing on Burgundy Street was built with a finished booth seat in mind. The shopfronts are old and narrow, half the good rooms sit up a nineteenth century stairwell, and the loading is off a rear lane that takes one van at a time. Banquette frames for that strip get made in sections that bolt together on site, so a four metre run of seating goes up the stairs in pieces and becomes one seat at the top. Around the hospital precinct the problem is timing rather than width. Try to park anywhere near it much after eight in the morning and you have already lost the day, which is why those measure ups and deliveries happen early.

For a venue or a ward we come out and measure instead, because seat counts, seat heights and the standard you have to meet all change the answer.
