Upholstery quotes around Donvale can vary a lot for what sounds like the same job. The difference is nearly always in what happens under the fabric.
A proper reupholstery job strips the piece back to the frame, repairs and reglues the joints, replaces tired webbing and springs, renews the foam with quality high-resilience Dunlop foam, and only then fits the new cover, cut and sewn to the piece. A cheap job pulls new fabric over old failing foundations, and it looks fine right up until it does not. And if you are not happy with an aspect of a job you have already had done, foam that has gone soft too soon, webbing that was not right for the piece, a chair that is still wobbly, we can usually put it right without any fuss. And when we are asked to match a much cheaper quote, we will always be straight about why we cannot: some quotes are lower than what quality materials alone cost at wholesale, and the difference has to come from somewhere.

Because not every quote covers the same work. A thorough quote includes stripping the piece to the frame, repairing joints, renewing webbing, springs and foam, and a properly cut and sewn cover. A cheaper quote often skips what is under the fabric. Ask what is included and compare like with like.
